Our schedule is organized for personalized attention and care.
All patients in our practice are treated on a personalized, one-on-one basis. What does this mean?
- We do not over book our schedules and “hope” that a scheduled patient does not show up.
- You will not be left stranded in our Reception area not knowing when or who is going to see you.
- You will only see one of our dedicated hygienists or Drs. Nicholas or Carla Calcaterra. We do not have “revolving doctors” or a “doctor of the day!”
- We book a sterile room along with dedicated clinical staff with specific supplies necessary for you and the particular procedure.
What does this mean for you?
Many patients elect to book an appointment 6 months out while they are still in the chair. We remind them at that time that they are committing to that appointment slot, and to give us reasonable notice if they are unable to make it. All patients receive multiple text and phone messages reminders (unless they opt out).
Patients who elect to ignore these reminders and then call us with less than 24 hours notice to cancel are subject to a 24 hour cancellation fee.
Why do we charge a fee?
We dedicate significant time and resources to each appointment. We set aside that time exclusively for you. If you cancel on such a short notice, we are unable to give that appointment time to someone else, and that time/preparation is wasted. If a patient insists they should not have to pay the fee, we generally recommend they seek care at another office that is better equipped to handle last minute cancellations.
Emergency Scheduling
Occasionally, a dental emergency occurs, and treatment needs to happen as soon as possible. We do our very best to accommodate emergencies as well as our regularly scheduled patients. The sooner we know about an emergency, the sooner we can determine the best time for us and for you to come in and have your needs addressed. No patient should walk around without a front tooth or in severe dental pain!
Drs. Nicholas or Carla Calcaterra are on call for emergencies when the office is closed.
